Elena M. Sliepcevich Centre Fellows (2008-2010)
The fellowship provides recipients with an opportunity to address the need for historical research and make connections between the work of Elena M. Sliepcevich, the landmark School Health Education Study (SHES) that she directed, and contemporary Health Education issues.

Elena M. Sliepcevich Centre Undergraduate Professional Development Research Award (2017-2018)
As partners, the ISU Department of Health Sciences and the Elena M. Sliepcevich Centre for Health Education Studies provided financial support, resources, and mentoring for school health education and related fields undergraduate students with demonstrated interest in historical research to prepare a presentation at a national conference and/or a publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

Eta Sigma Gamma, National Health Science Honorary (ESG) (2018-2023)
Beginning September 15, 2018, a collaborative agreement between ESG and EMS-CHES established two scholarships (one undergraduate award ($1,000.) and one graduate award ($1,500.) providing opportunities to positively contribute to professional development of Health Education student members of the honorary. Recipients completed a school health project that supports School Health-related historical research and/or curriculum development based on sound best practices. Working with a University mentor, the award recipient’s project contributed to the profession through presentation and/or publication.
